Jona Desselberger
Shipbroker
Jona completed the Dainton Master Course (Mechanical Engineering) at Imperial College, London and then trained at Harley Mullion & Co. Ltd. Thereafter he worked for Axis Shipbroking Limited in London before moving to the United States.
Whilst heading up the S&P department of MJLF in Stamford, Connecticut he worked with Charles Jung. They saw the need to be in the city that is the traditional heart of shipping and so they moved to London, where on behalf of clients, they established GMT Maritime Limited in January 2004. In 2012 Charles Jung left GMT Maritime Limited and moved to Singapore to set up a separate company ‘GMT Singapore Pte’.
Olga Kouri
Legal Advisor
Olga studied and trained in Athens and at Cambridge University. She worked at Brown Cooper, S. J. Berwin & Eversheds in London before leaving to work as an advisor. She offers legal advice to GMT on a part time basis.
Gemma Hardy
Office Manager
Gemma comes with a wealth of experience from supporting executives, coordinating and overseeing projects to office management, having worked as PA/Office Manager mainly in the Financial Sector. Gemma’s significant achievements to date have been implementing administrative processes through to organising large scale events in the charity arena. Gemma’s view is “with no excuse” her role is about providing a smooth and efficient service.
